Mark Watches Football

Mark is one of those people who says he watches the Super Bowl just for the commercials and the half time show. I watch the Super Bowl because I like football. It turned out that neither Mark nor I were happy with what we got. The game sucked and the ads weren't all that clever. The halftime show was entertaining though.

Mark never sits and watches a football game with me. He doesn't know a thing about the game other than that the Broncos have hideous uniforms. Yesterday, for the first time, he actually watched most of the game. So last night I got a series of questions and statements that I've never heard during a football game before.

"Don't they know that nobody looks good in orange?"
"Why did that man just kick the ball into the audience?"
            "Is everybody black in football?"
"Oh wait, there's a white guy. It's the guy from the Papa John's commercials."
"That white guy looks pretty old. Why don't they replace him?"
"This is very homoerotic. That guy has got a nice ass...  that's a juicy ass there."

I kind of always wanted Mark to get interested in sports. It would be fun to watch games together, but I think I've changed my mind about that. Honestly, if he ever comes into the living room again and starts watching a game with me I may just stuff a sock in his mouth.
