Look Out Below

Sunday I woke up at five in the morning, before the sun came up, long before I wanted to. It was a nightmare that did it, and nightmares tend to get your adrenaline going. It caused me to lay there wide awake for two hours, until the dogs finally got up and started giving me that 'take me out for my walk' stare. I almost never have nightmares. My dreams are usually quite entertaining, though I am often quite disappointed when I wake up and realize they aren't true. Especially the ones involving sex and money.

Dreams seem to be a universal experience, even dogs dream. My late dog Molly used to dream a lot. She would lay sleeping on the living room floor and suddenly her legs would start twitching, and she would let out a plaintive whine. I can imagine she was dreaming of a squirrel or rabbit slipping away into the bushes, ruining her hunt. So what was that horrible nightmare that woke me up yesterday morning all about? Well let's just say that I hope my older brother and his wife don't have any plans to go skydiving in their wedding tuxedo and gown soon. According to my dream, it doesn't end well.

  1. I have a lot of those dreams where I'm naked and don't know the answers to the test. What do you eat before retiring that you get rewarded with the good sex/money dreams?

  3. I guess your dream ended any thoughts of their recommitment ceremony being while sky freefalling.
