Video Thursday

So there is oil spewing into the Gulf of Mexico, destroying an entire ecosystem. North Korea is pouting again. War is raging in Afghanistan. Politicians are spewing vile insults at each other. Cleanse your mental palate this morning with a nice video of cute little kittens.

Somebody dumped thirty cats and kittens on the doorstep of Abandoned Pet Rescue last week. They are trying to find homes for all of them, so come on by and adopt one. They are so damn cute.

  1. How cute! I'm glad I don't live close enough to adopt one.

  2. They are adorable. Thanks for posting!

Unfortunately, until all pet breeding is banned and laws enacted for mandatory spay/neuter, this scenario is going to replay over again all over the united States.

CHOOOOOOOO!!! Wish I wasn't allergic, but then I'd probably be a catlady!!

  4. Just before we walked all the dogs, the kitties were having a huge wrestling match. It was so cute, but I decided to wait until we had taken care of the dogs before I took the video. When I went back out to the kittens, they were so sound asleep I couldn't wake them. That was an employee of the shelter raking his car keys across the cage that woke them up. They're cats, they have fifteen to twenty years of sleeping ahead of them.

  5. To Bugs Bunny: This scenario is far fetched. Pet Breeder would throw a tantrum! I do believe in regulation on this industry or a moratorium at least. The real culprits are the irresponsible pet owners who don't spay/neuter and backyard breeders and puppy mills who do it for profit.

Every time I see ads in stores by backyard breeders selling their designer puppies or cats for profit, it makes me mad.

  6. You are right, Garet, it's much better to adopt from a shelter. There are plenty of designer dogs if you look. I picked up a "schnug" (schnauzer/pug) from a shelter in Ohio!
