Thanks Alan. Marion has been someone I've know for 63 year.Mom and Marion have remained close for longer then that. How often do cousins remain so close for so long? Mom will miss her.
By the way, Mom is the younger of the two, and I think the bossier. One time Mark and I were at moms house for lunch, and she invited Marion. When Marion got there, mom said lets go to Bogart's. Even though Marion objected, somehow we all ended up eating out at Bogart's. Mark and I picked up the tab of course.
That was mom and Marion playing good cop bad cop, except you can substitute diner for the word cop. You and Mark didn't know what hit you. (Except for the bill)
She was very tough for a "little" person. For as long as I can remember she was always having some kind of life-threatening medical problem...but she always manged to pull out of it. I think it was amazing that she had a full life until 88. It's hard on Mom as she has lost so many of her close relatives, people she could share memories with of childhood. My condolences to her son, Tony, who has been a wonderful caretaker.

ReplyDeleteThanks for this blog Alan. Mom and Marion have always been close-more like sisters than cousins. Mom is going to miss her very, very much.
