  4. Well, Hanna passed by yesterday. Thursday evening was just beautiful. The sunset was full of reds, blues and yellows. The clouds were puffy and pink. As evening turned into night, the breeze was just right, gentle and cool. Friday came and reminded me of a July Day in Chicago, dank, misty and overcast, hot and humid. No telling what the next hurricane will do. In the 50's I liked Ike. He may not be so likeable this time. Faye left a lot of water. People discovered they built in the wrong place. We've only had one hurricane in 28 years, Charley in 2004. I think I'll stay in Central Florida, Nature's Choice, Seminole County.

  6. I can sell you a nice 34 foot self contained motorhome with it's own generator power supply and a 75 gallon gas tank for a good price. Great for moments like this when you need to get away.

  7. Looks like someone over at NOAA got a little zealous with their hurricane prediction path. Or maybe they were slipped a liitle moola under the table buy those big warehouse hardware store chain big wigs. Only my opinion folks.

The new maps takes Ike waaaaay south and west:

  8. It was me, who else would you think has an "I like Ike button?" I did put my name on your .. Blog? What happened,I do not know. Please edit my comments and add my name to them. You Alan. Both your parents voted for Ike even though they lived in Illinois and Stevenson was the favorite son.Ike was a war hero and a conservative. He was very popular.

  9. I wasn't being facetious when I said I liked Ike. He was a good guy. He warned us of the 'military industrial complex'. He ended the Korean war, and didn't start any new ones. Mom and Dad always voted for whoever they thought best, Democrat or Republican. I know they voted for Kennedy.
