I noticed that you almost always slip in at least a one picture of yourself as a skinny, strapping young stud into the blog. Even when it's a photo tribute to your mother.
Alan, the best tribute was that you didn't give her age! Remember how she never let us know it when we were kids...we thought we were so smart that we looked at her drivers license. Little did we know that she had shaved off 1 1/2 years so she could be younger than Dad! (She was embarrassed that she had "robbed the cradle...even if Dad was a foot talller than her!) It finally caught up with her this year when she went to renew her license....she had to bring her birth certificate because after 50+ years--they checked!!!
When I was a child she was 29 for ten years. When I was a teenager she was 39 forever. Suddenly one day she was 65. That was 21 years ago. Today she turned 68. That means she was 27 when she gave birth to me. So I'm 41. I'll take that.
